This reminds me of the importance of writing, and writing as a gateway drug to taking yourself seriously and really thinking deeply about what you do and how it fits in the world (which really means, how small it really is...how delicate...but it also shows you how slow life is, and how interruptible anybody is. Writing is just human consciousness.

And here I go, making a messy draft I will have to sift through if it's to be taken seriously. If I really wish to get something over to my reader — YOU, A REAL PERSON — I have to take this seriously, but I fail at this. I just keep marching, waving when I get the thought to do so.
