on approval
--
make a painting about the game you don’t want to win
this is a coaching session and a nervous breakdown
i am both the addict/artist/outlaw and the way of curing, of suturing, tying together disparate, disconnected, scattered things which were once united; mosaic and collage is a breakdown longing for simplicity; to iron out the bubbles and gaps
getting published is one god worth chasing — all depends what others’ approval does for you
i prefer a squirrel resting in the sun on the fence
and making/saying/writing the next thing, rather than ladder approval games
and the drama of waiting for Who said Yes to Me and My Work; possession is only one frequency to live on — — it’s the boring art world, the midlife self-absorbed blowhards and vultures swooping and careening for more dollars, Notifications and airtime, and mumbling afterwards about not getting more, and lying!! Manipulating ~ I know the script so well because I am it; I am called to change it, to do something different
